Tonight I'm keen to see Ellis and Derrickx. I'm most keen to see our structure and zones. In last years NAB Cup game Collingwood were treating it as a practice match but their adherence to their zones and structures was so superior to us that it stood out to me at the game. This will be harder to watch for on TV but I'm hoping for a big improvement.

More money flowing in today for North to beat us. Even better for us I reckon.

I too want to see Derrickx and Ellis - Am more than happy to see Dusty, Cotch, Jack, King, Tyrone etc - but I'm scared a) all the hype in papers etc for Dusty and Jack is a bad omen and also we do NOT want injuries now!!

Maric will be interesting of course in the ruck - and coming up against Goldstein and Macintosh I think is a good test so I like that - Max Bailey too if he doesn't get injured putting his jumper on.

Certainly hyped to see the boys run out, even if it isn't in the traditional "Tiger Stripe"

Well hello not far from kick off and we get to see not only our progress but the "new Hawthorn game plan" hoping a win against North to start the night off.

My dog and I have this thing going. If we win he gets to wear the Tiger scarf. Just got the scarf out on the coffee table and he is so keen I'd hate to upset him. Go Tigers!

Well, at least we're earning our goals rather than being gifted them...

Ivan is impressing so far, and a wonderful chase and tackle from my boy Morris.

We're two points up (I think) at half time - 3.3 to 3.1.

    Cheers!

Yay, back on a real keyboard.

Usual preseason so far - some good signs, some poor signs. Impressed for the most part with Ivan and Morris, although both made some dumb mistakes as well as some good moves. D-Man got a goal, Dusty dominant early, Jack not back yet...

A bit Groundhog Day there once as the ball went past everybody for a cinch goal to NM.

Conca cleaned up some NM idiot, was an accident but another NM idiot managed to clock him back a bit later anyway. Other than that, NM idiots took two of their fellow idiots out via friendly fire.

    Yet they still won...

    Mrrf.

It starts yet again. That was a pathetic umpiring effort. There were so many inconsistencies it wasn't bloody funny. Oh well...I suppose I am used to it by now
