I don't mind what happens to the others, as long as Richmond rises. Rise they will, how can you let the tiger on our new logo down? It stands so proud.

I don't see us doing so well in the NAB cup. Last year we went into the season right at the end of a heavy, three week training workload and struggled the first few weeks. If we're to get a good start to the season then the final heavy workload training period is likely to be late Feb to early/mid March allowing the team to freshen slightly for the start of the real season.

No doubt every team will have a flat spot during the season. Looking at the draw I wouldn't mind seeing us up in the NAB cup even if we are a bit flat in the early rounds.

Do you mean in the 2 game first round? I'm not sure if that has been released yet. Has it?

Yeah I don't think it is out yet. I am guessing they are going to want to have a drawcard game as the final game and i am also guessing that will not be a game involving North :D

Bit unfair Lisa, there are four and a half thousand people in Hobart taking offence to that post...

Hey Vines, what is the vibe about North coming to Hobart? My Parents who live just near Bellerive have said people are excited that footy is coming, but are annoyed it is North hosting, as you know, they are boring.

Well, they won't have to deal with cars everywhere, people pissing on letterboxes and crowd noise when north comes to town...that was the scene I witnessed when we went to the hurricanes game last week.

Parking for the oval is non existent.

Living up north, everyone is laughing at north melbourne and Hobart.

The buzz is now aurora want big bash games with a drop in pitch. Bellerive will get their $15m upgrade by hook or by crook, but the direction is a long way from Jim Bacon's policy of "no duplication".

    Typical in fighting reigns supreme...

Did you read the piece in the Age about Norf and how the Tasmania deal shores up their position as a team in Victoria?

The AFL released the schedule today.

    Richmond v North
    Hawks v North
    Richmond v Hawks

The AFL clearly wants people to come early and stay all night. With the game break we may actually play two almost completely different line ups.

Only a few weeks to go!
I'll be very interested to see how our defence shapes up against the hawks. It's a shame Seven is only showing the final..
Still, I suppose we get the tiges over here on March 4th. [:-thumbu]

Anybody want to share who they would field in the NAB Cup and where?

First game starts at 6.45pm. Does anyone remember the timing structure? Was it 2 x 20min halves????
