    What they all said. [:-thumbu]

2nd season had not enough vampire and too much "crazy maryanne causing orgies woman"

And Tara went from being one the best characters to just plain annoying and don't start me on Eggs [xx(]

I love me some Eric, Lafayette and Hoyt and Jessica though.

oh btw I second the previous calls for United States of Tara being good. Toni Colette is fantastic.. some scenes where she changes personality are amazing.. you can see the transformation on screen just with her mannerisms, facial cues etc. Really great acting - and it would be a tough role(or is that roles?) to master. I didn't think this would be a show I'd like much (not the sort of thing I'd usually watch) but I found it totally engrosing. I do believe they are making a second series.

I really like Dexter, however I thought that the end of the season four finale was SO predictable - not usual for them.

    Cheers!

I downloaded the first season of Legend of the Seeker for my boys...I have been watching it with them and it is quite good. Near as a bad as a midday soap opera though. Am downloading the second season now...got the first 3 episodes. My son loves the show

I saw her in Little Miss Sunshine on Sunday night. She certainly plays some varied roles.

    A talented actress.

He is a sick, sick guy! There was one episode where he caught a snake with his bare hands then bit its head off while it was still alive! It wriggled in his mouth too - ewww!!

My top picks for summer TV have got to be The Bachelor and Tool Academy. Amazingly trashy TV but I can't stop watching! [:-thumbu]

Re: TV - it's the offseason, lets discuss

Been watching "Misfits" another UK show. Season 1 has 6 episodes, they have a season 2 in the works.

Basically it's like the opposite of Heroes. six kids forced to do community service for various minor infractions of the law are caught in a bizarre storm and gain super powers. Like the chav chick who can hear peoples thoughts (including a hilarious scene where she's trying to talk to her boyfriend and all he's thinking of is how to get her boobs out!), another can turn invisible, another can turn back time 30 seconds and the funniest "power" of all is a woman that - whoever touches her is instantly attracted to her and wants to have sex with her - leading to some funny moments.

Interesting concept twisted just enough and in a great style that only the poms can pull of that make it quite diverting....

I downloaded the first 6 episodes of this and have watched the first one so far. Very funny and well done. I am looking forward to watching the other 5 tonight and tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know about this. I love these British comedies. I am a huge fan of IT Crowd which has done 3 seasons (of 6 shows each) so far and it is absolutly hilarious

I think the guy is just too over the top. I mean he does some ridiculous things that he just needn't do and takes some silly risks for a survival expert. I saw that episode and couldn't for the life of me work out why his survival method of killing a snake was to bite off its head? Anyone got any ideas on that?

Read in the Green Guide that Breaking Bad is going to be showing on ABC2. As mentioned earlier by myself and others, well worth a look.

Re: TV - it's the offseason, lets discuss

I heard that they are making a 4th but the actors are getting better offers...Chris O'Dowd (Roy) made another show about a small radio station and also made a couple of movies (Frequently asked questions about time travel isn't bad). And Richard Ayoade (moss) acted in the first season of a US version of IT Crowd but of course with everything the US touches it sucked. Apparently the writer Gary Lineham has already written the entire 4th series but they are just trying to get around all those little issues.

might sit down and watch the final 3 episodes of misfits today :D

Man I must be living on a different planet. I haven't even heard of any of the shows being discussed here let alone seen them ?? I have seen that man vs wild dude. I think that peanut is going to go the same way of Steve Irwin and that clown who thought he could befriend frickin Grizzly bears.

Re: TV - it's the offseason, lets discuss

Did I mention Fringe S2 is rocking along? I'm still "meh" on the new V. It has promise but I think showing 4 episodes then putting it on hold for 4 months is a dumb move(and they've lost a couple of show runners too, which can't be good).

I'll mention another show that's slowly warming up for me - "Modern Family" - sort of a mockumentary/comedy show about an extended family of characters and their various misadventures that usually involve the various parts of the extended family coming together - it's not too bad.

"Hank" - the latest Kelsey Grammer show is a thumbs down. Even he can't save this show IMHO.

Latest series of The Sarah Jane Adventures has been pretty good. Got to love the wedding episode with David Tennant doing his thing. WOO HOO! (or should that be WOO WHO??)

Heroes is dying a slow death.. it has a little bit of interest but it's not the first show I want to watch. Heck, I'd go an episode of Cops first!

Looking forward to some returning shows soon: BBC Survivors remake S2, Chuck S3 (January), United States of Tara (March), Nurse Jackie (March), SGU (April)
