If it's above the chest he should have his fingers pointing up or he will just pour it on to himself. Just like slips catching good technique is crucial in extreme burger eating.

Gees, the Maccas size of meals is out of control these days. Do you think they asked him if he wanted fries with that?

If you are not imagining the scene when it came out the other end, I hope you are now.

Dean Macdonald placed on Long-Term Injury List, apparently.

Interesting to note that he didn't even rate a mention at the jumper presentation on Sunday - they went straight from Post to White. Steven Morris wasn't there either but they still called his name out and gave a little spiel. Does this mean he's not coming back?

Sounds elementary, but I assume he would have to have some sort of injury to be LTI'd right? If not, we could always be doing to free up rookie-spots in case we want to use them. Unlikely though. Looking like another late draft punt that wont come off.

Can a mental health issue qualify?

I think it should TBR. Not saying that is what it is, but if unable to play due to illness or injury i think it should qualify. It is hard to quantify length of recovery from any mental illness or condition. Again I am not suggesting that is what is happening here, just giving my opinion on the question.

Very interesting. If Dmac wasn't even announced that says a lot I think. Suddenly he's on LTI? Strange. I hope he's ok whatever is going on with him.

Yeah, it was very strange to say the least, because you know the faithful are going to notice those things.

At the time it made me think he may not be in the good books at the club for some reason.

I'm impressed the reason hasn't leaked. 5 years ago the Pope sitting in the Vatican would have known.

What did Geelong do with Hogan? He left the club briefly to try to deal with depression. Did the club put him on the long term injury list?

They didn't nb, but that's to say they didn't try (I'm not sure if they did or not). The old CBA mentions "injury or illness" as reason to go on the LTI, so on that wording you'd think it would be possible if you tried.

I guess the main difference here looking at it purely from a football perspective is that Hogan was match fit and when deemed mentally good to go, would have been right to start playing again and wouldn't have been coming from too far back fitness wise. McDonald hasn't been sighted at training for months so even if he came back tomorrow, he would be months away from being match fit. I'm not sure if players on LTI list are able to play at Coburg while getting match fit. Anyone know??

My guess is they are covering themselves in the event they cop a few injuries but waiting before deciding who to elevate. By my reckoning, we can now elevate 4 players?? So far, only 2 players have earned it (Miller and Maric)

It seems like a shame to lose him. He seemed to have a bit of X-factor about him. I remember King was talking him up at the end of last year.

If a player is on the LTI they can train but not play until again being elevated and that includes Coburg
