2012 Player Countdown

    A Yellow and Black tradition is the yearly countdown to the Round 1 game against Carlton at the MCG. The countdown is usually run by RMel, but he is running low on time at the moment so is unable to do it. It doesn't mean we can't run one collectively as a community though. The legacy he started needs to live on!

    So, with all that in mind and the launching of the advocates today it coincides well for the launch of the countdown next Tuesday Feb 7th!

    The countdown will be a communal affair and I ask the members to post their thoughts on players on the corresponding countdown days. Together we can make this work! Advocates get your fingers poised on your keyboards, this is the perfect opportunity for you to pump up your player so he has a big year!

    The countdown will begin on Feb 7th with Piva Wright days to go to Round One!

    The general thought was that anyone can post the first one each day. The first one doesn't necassairly have to the best and most in depth either. It could simply be as an example -

    There are only Dustin Martin (4) days to go until gameday! 4 sleeps! Go dusty Go. Arm bar to the chest! Take that Juddy!

    I like the idea of the advocate starting it off. Gives them a chance to research their "project" for the year.
    I can't wait to pump up Jakes tyres this year! Unfortunately I'll have to wait till round 2 to see the heartbeat of Punt Rd flex some muscle!;)

    Well done Lisa for kicking this off though, the show must go on when others need a break.

    Lets do RMel proud and make this a countdown to remember, for the right reasons!:cool:

    RMel is fine for the thread to happen however we deem fit. I don't think we should "make" an advocate have to do the first post each day, as one, they may not want too and two they may not be able to post that day. Yes it would be great if they do, but we can't expect them to. The first post each day will be whoever posts first!! :D But yes advocates please join in and show us your wares when you can!
