I'm standardising the software on my sites so that they are either based on Joomla!, Wordpress, or vBulletin.
I have one long running site, Yellow and Black that is running with vbPortal as it's CMS and vBulletin as its forum software.
My other sites, will run Joomla! as the CMS with Fireboard as the forum software.
This will allow me to better manage each site and mean that the software upgrade process will much less painful for me :)
